The principals of Dixon Midland are Paul Furlow and Aaron Mobarak. They have a proven, high-performing partnership that dates back to 1997. Both principals are significant investors in Dixon Midland’s acquisitions.

Paul co-founded and is Co-President of Dixon Midland Company. On behalf of Dixon Midland Fund I, Paul led the acquisition of Tech Lighting and served as its Co-President from 2000 to 2003. At Tech Lighting, Paul focused on operations, product quality, and product development. On behalf of Dixon Midland Fund II, Paul led the acquisitions and subsequent oversight of Barcodes Inc and Tech For Less. Paul’s prior work experience includes working at McKinsey & Company and Wasserstein Perella & Co. Paul has an MBA from Stanford and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Paul grew up in Midland, Michigan where his father worked for The Dow Chemical Company. Paul and his wife Asha have two children.

Aaron co-founded and is Co-President of Dixon Midland Company. On behalf of Dixon Midland Fund I, Aaron led the acquisition of Tech Lighting and served as its Co-President from 2000 to 2003. At Tech Lighting, Aaron focused on sales and marketing, product development, and finance. On behalf of Dixon Midland Fund II, Aaron led the acquisitions and subsequent oversight of Barcodes Inc and Tech For Less. Aaron’s prior work experience includes working at McKinsey & Company and Arthur Andersen & Co. Aaron has an MBA from Harvard and an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. At Illinois, Aaron was an NCAA All-American and two-time individual Big Ten Champion in the triple jump. Aaron grew up in Dixon, Illinois where his family operates a ready-mixed concrete business. Aaron and his wife Maureen have five children.

Heather is Chief Financial Officer of Dixon Midland Company. After assisting with the formation of Dixon Midland Fund I, Heather joined Tech Lighting and served as its CFO from 2000 through 2004. Heather then joined Dixon Midland Company in 2005 and led the financial oversight of Barcodes Inc and Tech For Less on behalf of Dixon Midland Fund II. Heather’s prior work experience includes accounting and tax consulting at Laventhol & Horwath and Mann. Weitz & Associates in Chicago. Heather is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Illinois State University.
